Top new features are coming to your iOS 15. Apple has introduced an all-new way to connect to the world with the upcoming iOS 15 features.
Apple has released its new iOS – which is iOS 15. The software contains features that enable users to connect to the outside world more easily.
Apple had announced its new iOS 15 at WWDC – Worldwide Developers Day Conference 2021 happened in June, along with the updates in MacBook, iPad, etc.
This WWDC event happened to be virtual, but that didn’t hold Apple back. It provided an immersive design and engaged the virtual audience throughout the show.
With the new updates in iOS 15, Apple has uplifted its game in the world of OS. Whether it’s about FaceTime, Weather Apps, Safari, Notifications – Apple’s new iOS features provide users to explore more with the on-device intelligence.
Focus Mode – maintain work-life balance (New iOS 15 Feature):
This new immersive feature helps you organize and analyze daily tasks more efficiently, thus making your life more productive.
When this new iOS feature is active, it allows all your iDevices (Apple Watch, MacBook, etc.) to follow the instructions you want during your workspace that refrain you from distraction.
This new mode includes four different options:
- Do not disturb
- Work
- Sleep
- Personal
You can also create your own focus mode by clicking the ‘+’ option. For example, if you want to go to the gym, you can add apps that won’t distract you during exercise.
Moreover, while blocking the notification from reaching the phone, it will automatically show the sender in Messages that contact is currently unavailable.
This option helps you to create and maintain a work-life balance around your environment.
FaceTime – a lot of improvements and updates (New iOS 15 Feature):
FaceTime has improved a lot and with the updates and new iOS 15 features. Some highlights of the features are:
Special Audio – It provides immersive audio when you are using FaceTime. People’s voices come out of different directions depending upon their phone orientation.
Portrait Mode – Hopping onto the video call with someone can provide video portrait effects on screens. It’s only eligible when both of the people use iOS 15.
Shareable Links (massive improvements) – This time, Apple went ahead and enabled FaceTime on Android. Just as we share Zoom or Google Meet links, we can now share FaceTime links to talk to our friends on Android. Though the video quality sometimes suffers overall, it’s a nice improvement.
SharePlay – FaceTime users can now share their screens with others to listen to songs, watch TV shows, etc. ‘Share with your’ feature shows the content other people shared with you.
You can share your screen with your friends without having any lags and sync at the same time.
You don’t have to worry about the security, as these calls are end-to-end encrypted.
Redesign Stock Apps & Widgets (New iOS 15 Feature):
In the latest iOS 15 features, Apple has redesigned almost all stock apps and widgets on the phone.
Widgets – There have been improvements in widget design, as well as in their aesthetics.
You can set up your favorite contacts in a more intuitive way ever, using the ‘contacts’ widget.
With the help of the ‘Find My’ widget, you can locate your lost accessories, including Airpods, Air Tags, Apple Watch, etc. It will tell you where you lost your item, and when you are near your accessories, it’ll ring a bell on your phone. So, you can look for your item in nearby places.
Stock Apps – Stock apps like Safari, Weather, Apple maps, Clocks, others get a significant update after the announcement of iOS 15.
Safari has improved the overall design in which the search tab shifts to the lower end of the screen. You can now switch between multiple Safari tabs using fingers gestures. The ‘Hide IP Address’ option can hide your IP address from the trackable cookies and ads.
Apple maps have seen quite an improvement after the update. Tours of the city are available, and you can find the famous buildings and spots there. The 3D maps feature shows you the new and immersive way of searching maps.
Note: – Some Apple maps features are not available for every city.
Similarly, the Clock app, gestures & animations, and the Weather app go through the overall redesign process.
AI-Powered Camera & Live Text (New iOS 15 Feature):
It is the new powerful feature that helps you to locate text and information on objects or images.
The concept is similar to the Google Lens but, it is a lot more detailed and immersive.
For example, users can find the recipe of their favorite dishes online by showing a picture of the food. You can also book an appointment and find the phone number by capturing a photo of the storefront.
Spotlight uses AI intelligence to search for photos based on their location, people, surroundings, and Live Text. Now it has an interactive feature that recognizes handwriting and logos in pictures and displays results accordingly.
Use Siri Offline, Prioritize Notifications, Apple Wallet, & Overall Improvement In Software Stability (New iOS 15 Feature):
You can now access Siri offline (not for internet searches) for setting up alarms, using cameras, scheduling calendars, making calls, etc.
You can also prioritize notifications in the Focus mode. It can prioritize your dropdown area based on your interest and apps usage.
With iOS 15, Apple will use selfies to verify ID cards.
The new iOS 15 features enable Apple to create an environment that surrounds you and serves you best.
